Anneliese Dodds has secured victory in Oxford East meaning that Labour held on to the seat.
She picked up 35,118 votes. The Conservatives came second with 11,834 for Suzanne Bartington.
In her acceptance speech that she is focused on doing her bit to help the NHS and the housing crisis.
Andrew Smith, Labour MP for the area since 1987, announced he was stepping down in April this year.
In 2015, he increased his majority to 15,280, with his total number of votes going up to 25,356.
Turnout for 2017 was 69%
