JACK 2 is the station for young adults in Oxfordshire. This part of our website will help you to learn more about what we do, our remit, and how we are monitored to ensure we comply with our obligations. This is known as JACK 2’s "Public File".
The regulation of radio licensees in the United Kingdom is controlled by Ofcom. From time to time Ofcom will monitor JACK 2's output and check JACK 2's Public File to ensure we are complying with our obligations.

Note that Bank Holidays operate a Sunday schedule and there is no news on Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Year’s Day.

During an average weekday our daytime programming (0600-1900) is live 0700-1000, 1100-1300. Outside of these hours, there is usually a producer or studio manager on hand controlling the programmes, such as the links between the songs and all the other JACK 2 programming features.
News bulletins are locally produced and pre-recorded
JACK 2’s Party Ready show 7-9pm on a Friday and Saturday night is pre-recorded.
All of the programmes you hear on JACK 2 are produced here in Oxford from our Woodstock Road studios, from where we broadcast 24 hours a day.

The music we play
We play what you want! We really do! The majority of music we play is chosen by the audience from a selection of choices made available through the website or the mobile app. This happens in real time.
As part of JACKtivities (our what's on and events guide) we provide a free service to local organisations who would like some free publicity for their events.
