Oxford murder victim named as police reveal cause of death

A 35-year-old woman was found dead in a house in Cowley on Monday morning.

Police launched a murder investigation after Safie Xheta's body was found at her home on Lytton Road shortly after 5am.

A Post-Mortem examination has confirmed the cause of death as knife injuries to the neck.

Her family are being supported by specially trained officers and a murder investigation is ongoing.

A man was taken to hospital with serious injuries, where he remains.

Detectives are still investigating at the scene.

Police also believe it to be isolated and are not looking for anyone else.
