Around 1,400 homes were also affected this morning.
The burst pipe on the Oxford Road has left homes and businesses without water.
West Kidlington Primary says it has no working children's toilets, so isn't open.
St Thomas More Catholic Primary has also been forced to close today, for 'health and safety' as there's 'no running water.'
Gosford Hill is also affected, saying there's no water in its Sixth Form, ICT and Science Buildings.
The school managed to stay open though.
Kidlington and Gosford Leisure Centre has also had to shut today.
Thames Water has apologised to everyone experiencing low pressure or no water.
The company says its specialist engineers are working to fix the pipe and get supplies back to normal this afternoon.
A spokesperson added: "In the meantime bottled water is available for collection from Kidlington and Gosford Leisure Centre and we've got more on the way to keep stocks topped up.
"We're delivering bottles directly to customers on our priority services register and are using a tanker to supply water to the leisure centre.
"We're really sorry for the disruption the burst is causing and we'd like to reassure our customers we're working hard to get the pipe fixed and supplies back on as soon as we can."
